From Dublin Street Busker to 27-Time Irish iTunes No. 1 — Sina Theil Announces New All-Ireland Collaborative AlbumDUBLIN, IRELAND — In 2015, Sina Theil left a finance job in Germany, sold her belongings, and flew to Dublin with just a guitar and a backpack. She busked on the streets to fund her studies at BIMM Dublin. A decade later, she’s a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter with 27 No. 1 singles on the Irish iTunes charts, over 16,500 radio plays, close to 4 million YouTube views, and 65,000+ followers across social media.
Beyond music, Sina holds a degree in Psychology, writes a wellness column for Irish Runner Magazine, and works as a motivational speaker, yoga teacher, and TV and radio presenter. She crowdfunded over €16,000 to produce her live album and DVD “Live at THT Galway,” which aired nationally on TG4, and has shared stages with Mundy, Derek Warfield, and the Young Wolfe Tones. She has also raised over €10,000 for Irish and Celtic charities.
Sina is now working on her fourth studio album, due late 2026, an all-Ireland collaboration with 12 prominent female Irish folk artists representing over 850,000 combined followers, including a new Irish-language track.
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Nelson Mandela’s words, Sina says, have guided her from street busker to internationally touring artist supported by Culture Ireland.
