Houston’s hometown sweetheart Carolyn Wonderland and Austin songstress Shelley King bring their duo show to the legendary Mucky Duck on Thursday, March 6 at 8:30pm.

Both are award-winning blues/Americana artists with decades of road miles, records, and loyal fans behind them. They’ve toured together around the world — from Europe to Japan — and their long friendship and musical chemistry comes through every time they step on stage.

Carolyn spent seven years as lead guitarist for blues legend John Mayall, becoming the only woman ever to play guitar in his Bluesbreakers. She has released a dozen albums, including her two most recent on Alligator Records. Her latest, Truth Is, has earned major critical acclaim and strong radio airplay.

Shelley King was named Official State Musician of Texas in 2008 — the first woman to hold the title. Her songs have been recorded by Toni Price, Marcia Ball, Nancy Sinatra, and Lee Hazlewood, and she has released ten albums, including her newest, Madam Mystic.
