A native of Ireland, singer-songwriter Pat Byrne settled in Texas a few years ago, looking to make inroads in a place where some of his songwriting heroes — guys like Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark — came from.

She’s shared stages with Glen Hansard and U2, and opened for Gladys Knight and Mary Black. After showcasing at Folk Alliance International in 2024, she secured an O-1 visa to build her presence in the US. She opened 2025 at Celtic Connections, toured the US and Australia, and returns stateside in August. In October 2025 she launches her new show “Queer Arrivals” at Liverpool Irish Festival.

Beyond her solo work, Gráinne collaborates with award-winning guitarist Brendan Walsh on Songs from Ireland, and with Hibsen, a literary folk project built around James Joyce’s Dubliners.
