About the event

Texas’ iconic Two Tons of Steel is delivering a riveting musical tribute to rock ’n’ roll legend Buddy Holly this summer and fall in a series of small-theater venues that is electrifying audiences from all corners.

The show, “Nothing but Buddy,” is a fitting tribute to the Texas music legend that is bringing new life to timeless classics such as “Peggy Sue” and “That’ll be the Day.” Be sure to catch this revival at a venue near you to celebrate the music that Holly made famous with reimagined touches from Kevin Geil and his bandmates.

Two Tons will share anecdotes on how Holly influenced the band’s music catalog as well as stories about the life and legend of Buddy Holly. Early reviews of the performances have been exceptional:

“Kevin Geil’s vocals captured Holly’s spirit and took us back to another time when rock ’n’ roll was truly at its infancy. Stephen James’ lead guitar licks captivated each song with authenticity while making it his own. This band is as tight as you can get. Don’t miss this show.” ― Dennis Evans, Odeon Theater

“Two Tons of Steel absolutely nailed the unforgettable sounds of Buddy Holly. Not only did the audience get a virtual tour through the timeline of Buddy’s career, the band channeled his energy, charisma and iconic style with every note!” ― Risa Miller, Brauntex Theatre

“Your entire band are great performers, and you (Kevin) are a wonderful front man and singer. And aside from getting weepy over old memories, lost friends, and former girlfriends, I have a blast reliving those songs” Dave Giles

“Your tribute to Buddy Holly was excellent! It was one of the best shows, if not the best, I have ever seen at the Brauntex. I really enjoyed all the stories and history about Buddy you shared. Thank you!!”  Patty Gibbs
