The Gueyfarers are Matt Kirk on lead vocals, guitars, mandolin and harmonica, Jimmy Hartman on bass and harmony vocals, Brandon Custer on drums, Matt Cain on organ and piano, and Eric Demmer on saxophone and harmony vocals.

Formed in the Texas Hill Country and steeped in Gruene Hall tradition, the band blends Americana, blues, folk, rock and country into what they call “Texacana.” Their 2022 self-titled debut built a loyal central Texas fan base.

Five years of monthly Gruene Hall shows led to broader touring, including three straight years at the 8750 Festival and stops in Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Colorado.

In February 2024, Matt toured solo acoustic with the Gypsy Kings, playing venues like the Majestic Theater and House of Blues Dallas and Houston.

The band’s single “Sleepy Little Summertime Town” earned regular radio play across the Hill Country, and they placed second to the Randy Rogers Band in the Herald Zeitung’s Best of New Braunfels poll.
