LORETA KOVAČIĆ, known as “the Texas Slav” and “Dr. K,” is a Houston-based pianist, singer-songwriter, and multicultural artist with a genre-blending style.
Classically trained, she shifted focus after tendonitis, embracing a wider musical range.
Her ninth album, The Texas Slav (2023), draws from her international roots and Houston life, featuring tracks like “Houston,” “Galveston,” and “Fa fa familia.”
Her music has even been played aboard the International Space Station.
