Johnny Nicholas with David Greely – Late Show
Ticket Type Price Quantity

About the event Nicholas has spent a lifetime soaking up the flavor of such vibrant music scenes as Chicago, Southwest Louisiana and Texas (which he’s called home now for 45 years). While he is primarily thought of as a blues legend and gifted story teller, his music is full-spectrum Americana — a rich gumbo of  blues, Southwest Louisiana soul and Texas swing and  honky tonk.  His 2018 release “Too Many Bad Habits” reissue project and double vinyl package received a  2019 Grammy Nomination.

Born in Baton Rouge of Irish/Cajun ancestry, David Greely began singing for audiences at age 3, then got his first fiddle at 17 which lured him into obsession with bluegrass and country music until he went off the deep end into the language and music of his Cajun French grandparents. He tours worldwide with Cajun band Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys with four Grammy nominations in roots and folk categories. A dozen years of trips to Texas with Johnny Nicholas has fed his affinity for the blues and western swing, so that he can paint any colors he likes on his fiddle in service to great songs, warm vibes and good times.
