Guy Forsyth, an acclaimed Austin, Texas-based musician, singer, storyteller, and songwriter, is renowned for his compelling and versatile performances. With a strong foundation in diverse roots music, particularly the blues, Forsyth emphasizes storytelling in his work, ensuring that each narrative takes center stage. His engaging performances have earned him multiple Austin Music Awards, including best vocalist.

Forsyth’s musical journey spans various genres, encompassing classic and original blues, ragtime jazz, Delta blues, socially conscious folk, and rollicking modern rock. His mastery of multiple

instruments, such as the guitar, banjo, harmonica, and musical saw, complements his distinctive and emotive vocal style, creating a rich and passionate soundscape that captivates audiences.

In addition to his solo endeavors, Forsyth leads a jazz swing dance band and has recently ventured into theater. With support from the TCA grant program, he participated in a theater production addressing the issue of bullying in schools, from its inception to its performance. This experience has inspired him to develop his own retrospective one-man show.

Throughout his career, Forsyth has toured extensively across the U.S. and Europe, sharing stages with legendary artists like Ray Charles, Robert Cray, Dr. John, B.B. King, and Lucinda Williams. His live shows are particularly noted for their emotional impact and dynamic energy, often leaving audiences feeling whole and uplifted.
