Despite growing up together in a musical home, the Carolan Brothers (Gene & Stephen) only really started playing together in 2012. Starting out as a Neil Young tribute band, they soon garnered a reputation for their distinctive sibling harmonies.

They released their debut EP in 2014 and have spent the intervening years as session musicians for a number of established artists, most notably Austin’s Pat Byrne. Stephen Carolan followed Pat to Austin in 2019, and gained a reputation for his role in the traditional/folk group, Úlla, and his online live-streams in the early days of the Covid pandemic.

With a renewed sense of purpose and a confidence in their own sound, the Carolan Brothers continue to refine the songs that will comprise their forthcoming album.
