About the event

Alex is proof that an ambitious path paired with strong roots is the exact recipe for a poignant songwriter to emerge with imaginings as boundless as the musical landscape he was raised in. The Rio Grande Valley native based in Houston, TX is a songwriter who creatively crafts moving songs and captivating stories driven by heart and soulful vocals.

Harlan is a winner of multiple songwriting accolades, from outfits like American Songwriter, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Billboard.

He was even named Singer-Songwriter of the Year in the 2013 Texas Music Awards and featured alongside a stellar cast of characters (Lyle Lovett, Guy Clark) in the documentary, “For the Sake of the Song.”

Kory – A Revelation! He is the steady pendulum of a land oil rig; swingin’
betwixt misery and pride. Over the last 13 seasons with seven self-released records, a slew of singles slated for this year, as well as another album already in the works, he is tapped inspiration. He explores the complexities inherent in the immorality of
capitalism and the individual purpose found in one’s work. With uncanny awareness
aims his bead at the exact point where two disparate paradigms collide. He speaks of the
greater implications of our reliance on fossil fuels, corrupt political systems, allopathic
medicine, fear-driven media, consumerism, etc. Even as he tackles such heaviness
his songs are boisterous, driving, and hopeful. The perfect rallying cry for humanity from
the heart of a work
