Guy Forsyth is an Austin-based musician, singer, songwriter, and storyteller known for his powerful voice, eclectic style, and magnetic stage presence. Born in Denver in 1968, Forsyth left college to join the Renaissance Festival as a stuntman, later moving to Austin in 1990 to pursue music full-time. He started out busking and playing bars on Sixth Street, quickly becoming a staple of the local music scene.

Blues lit the fire for his early sound—raw, electric, and unfiltered. He worked his way up from dive bars to the legendary Antone’s, releasing acclaimed records and winning multiple Austin Music Awards. Over the years, he’s toured internationally, released more than 20 albums, and shared the stage with icons like B.B. King and Ray Charles.

Forsyth co-founded the genre-bending Asylum Street Spankers and now fronts several projects, including the acoustic roots band The Hot Nut Riveters. Beyond music, he’s a community builder—supporting HAAM, teaching free Tai Chi, and mentoring kids in the magic of music.
