Warren began playing fiddle at age 11 and studied classical violin for a number of years. At age 17 he won the Austin Youth Award and performed as soloist with the Austin Symphony.

Later he honed his playing and singer/composition abilities with his former bands such as: Warren Hood & his Allstar Band, Blue Light Special and the South Austin Jug Band. Warren graduated from Berklee School of Music, excelling @ his craft, where he prior to graduation won the "String Achievement Award" - Berklee's highest honor, as selected by the faculty.

The award is for those students "who as leaders in their field, will make a mark on the future of music."

Warren's musical influences range from Ray Charles, Stephane Grapelli, Walter Hyatt and Uncle Walt's Band to his dad, Champ Hood. If you listen to Warren's compositions, the soulful then gypsyesque "Black Cat" instrumental on his 2008 self released CD - "Warren Hood" (Good Dinner Music), you will truly experience the talent of this instrumentalist.

Also, if you enjoy the style of Uncle Walt's Band ballads, Warren's composition and vocal on his songs "Savannah" or "World Revolves" are quite, simply-remarkable.

The band dynamic turns on Hood's seamless duets with keyboard player Emily Gimble, granddaughter of Johnny Gimble and a name to remember. Gimble's understated style belies powerhouse vocals and keyboard skills to match, taking Hood to that higher plane of musical satisfaction.

All tickets are will-call, which is to say that there are no physical tickets - your name will be on a list at the door.
Tickets are put on sale as soon as a show is confirmed.

At 4 pm on the day of the show, tickets will no longer be available for purchase online.
Any remaining tickets can be purchased at the door (cash only).
You should receive an email confirmation of your ticket purchase.
Please bring your email confirmation and a valid photo ID for proof of age and ticket purchase.
Reserved seats are held until showtime. Seats will be released at that time (you will still have entry, but it will be general admission).
A NON-REFUNDABLE $5.00 per ticket service charge will be added to the purchase price of each ticket sold online - in the instance of a show cancellation the service charge will not be refunded.
The name in the 'Shipping Address' portion of your order will be the name your tickets are held under at the door - if you are buying tickets for someone else, indicate their name in these fields.
