LISA MORALES

Following a long-run in the Houston/San Antonio-based folk duo Sisters Morales, Lisa Morales steps out with an astonishingly beautiful solo debut that is as cathartic as it is devastating in its fearless confrontation of grief.

The whole record is littered with pieces of broken heart, but even when she declares “I Am the Weakest,” Morales’ words and voice resonate with strength and resilience. And in “Looking for Something Beautiful,” she storms out of the depths of despair with the most defiant, cheer-worthy cry of stubborn hope this side of Lucinda Williams’ “Passionate Kisses.” - Richard Skanse

LESLIE SLOAN

Leslie Anne Sloan, aka Miss Leslie started the band Miss Leslie & Her Juke-Jointers - with a real upright piano, bass, pedal steel guitar, telecaster, drums, acoustic guitar, Miss Leslie on fiddle. In 2005, the band released "Honky Tonk Revival" to rave reviews and in 2006 released a follow-up live album recorded at the Continental Club in Houston called "Honky Tonk Happy Hour".

In 2006-7, Miss Leslie began a prolific period of songwriting. “Between the Whiskey and the Wine” was the result. Recorded at Tommy Detamore’s studio in Floresville, TX. “Tommy as co-producer was so great to work with and the songs just literally fell into place. It was the end of an important journey for me.”

SHELLEY KING

The music of Shelley King draws from and blends a spectrum of roots music styles, but one word succinctly describes it: soulful. Be it R&B, folk, blues, country, bluegrass or rock — or combinations of and variations on those themes — she delivers the goods straight from the heart with a voice that’s splendidly rich and warm and as big as all outdoors.

Writing “a proverbial trunk full of instant hits and yet-unheard classics,” as the Austin Chronicle describes her songs, King has risen from the vibrant music scene in the Texas capital city to charm fans across North America, Europe and Japan, win two Austin Music Awards, and be named the Texas State Musician for 2008.

ROBYN LUDWICK

Robyn’s critically acclaimed new album features a dizzying cast, including Producer/Multi-instrumentalist Gurf Morlix (Lucinda Williams, Blaze Foley), Ian “Mac” MacLagan (Small Faces, Faces, Rolling Stones), John Ludwick, Eddie Cantu, Gene Elders (George Strait, Lyle Lovett), Trish Murphy, and Slaid Cleaves.

Out of These Blues takes Top 10 Albums of 2011 honors from Austin City Limits, No Depression, Texas Music Magazine and 93.3 KGSR as well as Best Album of 2011 by the Texas Music Scene.

Reserved seats are held until showtime. Seats will be released at that time (you will still have entry, but it will be general admission).
A NON-REFUNDABLE $5.00 per ticket service charge will be added to the purchase price of each ticket sold online - in the instance of a show cancellation the service charge will not be refunded.
