Cece Estrada is a singer/songwriter who is new to the music scene, and fans around town have started noticing her. She is currently promoting the recordings from her first album "Develop Your Own Melody."
Cece's songs are not just about love, and heartbreak. Her tunes are catchy, sweet and edgy. The song "Honda 1975", is about riding motorcycles through Texas, the song "Lone Star" is chill and relaxing, and you'll want to play it over and over. "Only Friends" hits you right in the gut, and you'll have it playing at full volume, singing right along with her, as you remember that old breakup that tore you inside out. The song "Seasons" is about depression and the effects that seasons can have on human emotions. The lyrics are haunting, and the song makes you experience emotional ups and downs.
Critics love the effortless communion between voice and guitar, as her voice gently caresses the listener. Don't let the initial shyness confuse you, her songs are catchy, sweet, and edgy. As a song writer she pours her heart out, but also keeps it light and chill. Her sound is hip, sweet, and overall just plain groovy.
She is currently in the middle of recording her second album here in Houston with the help and collaboration of many talented Houston musicians. The new album "Too Early For Coffee, Too Late To Leave" has her working overtime, while simultaneously experiencing what it's like to become a gigging musician. Cece is an artist thru-and-thru, she was born in Guatemala, raised in Canada, and spoke 3 languages by the time she was eight years old. She began writing at the age of 13, and taught herself how to play guitar. Her migration story inspires her to dream big, but keep her feet on the ground. She has recently discovered The Children's Music Foundation, and will be dedicating this performance to this wonderful organization. So come jam with Cece!
