Hailing from La Porte, the band takes its cues from the Akron/Family-Okkervil River reintroduction of subtlety and eccentricity into the rock scene. Buxton may be the hottest band to germinate along the Houston Ship Channel ”Deer Park and La Porte, specifically” since Michael Haaga's deadhorse bit the dust.
